Tactile Measurement Technology
How does tactile measurement work?
Tactile measurement technology enables highly precise, contact-based measurement of objects. This process uses probes that touch the surface of the component and record measurement points. Using specialized software, these measurement points are then used to generate various 3D elements that are used for measurement purposes, such as calculating diameters, areas, curves, and much more.
What measurement tasks are performed?
Tactile measurement technology is used in industrial metrology for a wide range of measurement tasks. These include, for example, determining shape deviations of free-form surfaces and measuring dimensions such as diameters, distances, and angles. Tactile measurement can also be used to inspect surface finish, roughness, and contours. As a provider of 3D measurement services, we offer reliable and precise execution of various measurement tasks using tactile measurement technology.
