Measurement Program Review

Independent assessment of your measurement programs – so your results are right

A measurement program can run without errors and still measure incorrectly: a wrongly defined datum system, an unsuitable evaluation method, too few probing points, or a characteristic evaluated differently from what the drawing requires. Whoever wrote a program easily overlooks such errors – an outside view pays off.

We review measurement programs in ZEISS CALYPSO, ZEISS INSPECT, WENZEL Quartis and VGSTUDIO MAX (Volume Graphics).

Independent and neutral

We assess your measurement program as an independent third party. We are neither the manufacturer of the measurement software nor involved in your production, and we have no interest in any particular result. Our judgement is based solely on the drawing, standards and metrological experience – which also makes it suitable as neutral evidence for your customer or supplier.

What we check

• Alignment and datum system according to the drawing
• Completeness and correct interpretation of characteristics (ISO GPS)
• Evaluation methods and filters (e.g. Gaussian, minimum zone, envelope)
• Probing strategy, point density, stylus and sensor selection
• For CT data: surface determination and evaluation
• Measurement report: nominal, actual and tolerance traceable

How the review works

1. Send documents: measurement program, drawing (PDF) and CAD model (STEP).
2. Review: We go through the program characteristic by characteristic.
3. Comparison measurement (optional): On request, we independently re-measure the part in our accredited measurement laboratory.
4. Assessment report: You receive our findings with concrete suggestions for correction.

There is no fixed price: the price depends on scope and software and is quoted individually on request.

The measurement program review is not part of our accredited scope.
